Past
The present Company commenced trading in 2008 as Mako UK and Ireland Ltd. This was an amalgamation of three UK businesses including Mako GmbH agency sales in the British Isles, a NI Company M & D Décor Supplies and the interests of Simon Marshall a former Managing Director of J A Marshall & Co.
The new business, under the guidance of Managing Director David Hutchinson, traded in the Mako GmbH range of decorating sundries together with Marshall paint brushes and rollers, and polystyrene coving products from Decosa. The business grew over the next four years.
In 2012, due to some market resistance to European-style products, we changed the product range from mostly European to more traditional British and Irish products. The Company name became Marshall Brushes and Rollers Ltd in 2016 which reflected the repositioning of the product offering as British. Following major changes within Europe the company was purchased by the Directors and is now a successful family-owned company.
In 2018 the Company outgrew its premises and moved to a warehouse in Bury offering the popular Marshall traditional decorating range across the British Isles.

Today Marshall Brushes and Rollers Ltd is a well-established successful small family run business operating from a modern warehouse facility centrally located in Bury. We Supply Independent retailers, wholesalers and industrial customers across the UK and Ireland. We offer a comprehensive, ethically sourced, and competitively priced, range of traditional British and Irish Decorating Tools.
With over 70% of our range produced in the UK and Europe, our products satisfy modern manufacturing standards and meet 95% of all consumer, trade, and industrial decorating tool requirements. We assemble in-house a wide range of roller and tray sets many of which are custom-made. Our professional and friendly staff are always available and are keen to assist customers with placing orders, product information, and other queries.
Our priority is always to meet and care for the needs of our customers. In addition to our daily office hours availability, we seek to improve our service by rolling out anytime-access for our customers through the full implementation of E-Commerce. This website will enable and empower our customers, at a time best suiting them, to place orders and be informed of special offers.
